Comfort inn Hearst Castle/Cambria

Had a one night stay to visit Hearst Castle and this motel is very close. The room (102) was newly remodeled. The bed was excellent and all the bedding was as brand new. The couch was very comfortable and the room spacious. It was a very comfortable stay. The room was very clean. The exterior and the hallways aren’t up to the same standard as the room. The hot breakfast was several notches above the standard coffee and cereal cups. There was plenty of selection, including hot eggs, bacon & fried potatoes. Very nice.

It’s tagged a two star hotel, but it’s more like a 2.5. Lots of parking, checking in is fairly standard and quick. But the office/front desk/breakfast area is a building that is separate from the main hotel, you’ll have to walk in the open parking lot to get to it. We got a standard room with two queen beds and it was pretty big, looked nice and smelled nice and the floors weren't carpeted, there even was a balcony. Breakfast was pretty good, they had hot dishes available but the area was pretty cramped.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautifully renovated roadhouse. The only drawback was they no longer had a swimming pool. Their workout room was nice, breakfast was very good, and the view of the ocean was good as well. We would definitely consider coming back and staying for more than one night next time!

The motel was tidy and quiet, offering a no-fuss stay. Rooms were basic but cozy. Good for a short, budget-friendly stop. Service was prompt and courteous.

Great place, newly refurbished rooms, probably the best beds and most comfortable rooms we have stayed in on our road trip up the coast. The new hotel manager is very nice and accommodating. Was still adding more amenities when we were here so the next time it will have even more and put the old days inn to shame. Had fresh breakfast to go waiting in the morning and plenty of helpful advice for our trip. Will definitely stay here again!

Nice motel only five minutes by foot from the beach. The rooms are freshly renovated. We even got a free upgrade to a balcony room. The balcony, however, could use some new paint to be more attractive. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough. The breakfast room was a little small and they used way too many paper and plastic.

Room was ok even it could be little cleaner. Specially the carpets on the floor in front of the rooms should be cleaned more often. The breakfast was good, so far best hotel breakfast during our trip. Tasty welcome cookies during check in.

This was a great place to stop for a night on our road trip. It has spacious rooms with a comfortable bed, good pillows, a kitchen, microwave, and fridge. They provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, and a hair dryer. Their breakfast ends at 10am and included waffles, bread, jam, cream cheese, apples, cereal, yogurt, and coffee. There were stains on the towels and sheets, so while everything seemed clean, I just recommend using bleach to get all the stains out. Also, vacuum the carpets in the hotel hallways.
